Bring The Twins Home

News Flash – August 23

At the one year anniversary of Andrea’s initial departure for Ghana to bring their twins home, Michael and Andrea receive word that the boys citizenship applications have been approved.   In just two more weeks they will finally all be together on Bowen Island.

The Story

The Segal Family of Bowen Island, British Columbia, have been engaged in a year long struggle to reunite their family and bring their legally adopted Ghanaian twins home to Canada.

On May 21st, local MP John Weston was greeted by supporters of the family who staged a Teddy Bear Sit-In.  Mr. Weston, who’s been advocating for the family stated, “If this application were sitting in front of a judge, the babies would be coming home.”  The Member of Parliament added that it was time the civil servants involved in this case were shown, “There’s nothing nefarious behind the legal adoption of the Segal twins.”
